Full job description

Ekpen Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Driver & Cleaning Support Assistant to support our daily cleaning operations.

This role involves driving our company van to various residential and commercial properties, assisting the cleaning team on-site, and ensuring equipment and staff are transported safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone dependable, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced domestic cleaning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safely drive company van to assigned properties
Transport cleaning staff and equipment between locations
Assist with loading and unloading cleaning materials
Support cleaners with basic cleaning duties when required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of company vehicle
Conduct basic vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, cleanliness)
Ensure timely arrival at all scheduled jobs
Communicate professionally with clients when needed
Follow all health & safety and traffic regulations

Requirements

Valid UK Driving Licence (minimum 2 years preferred)
Confident driving a medium-sized van
Good knowledge of local routes (Taunton & surrounding areas)
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Good communication skills
Physically fit (role involves lifting equipment)
Basic DBS check preferred (or willingness to obtain one)

Previous experience in cleaning or domestic services is desirable but not essential.

Pay: From £1,500.00 per month
