CNC Settler / Operator - Milling & Turning (HURCO)

We are looking for a capable CNC Setter / Operator to join our team, working across a range of machining centres in a busy, quality-focused workshop.
This role is is suited for someone who understands machining, not just operating. You should be confident setting jobs from drawings, handling tools, and taking responsibility for producing accurate, high-quality parts.

- CNC turning
- 4-axis milling
What You'll Be Doing
- Setting and operating CNC machining (milling and turning).
- Using HURCO conversational codes to load and run programmes.
- Loading, setting, and changing tooling.
- Setting datums, offsets, and proving out jobs.
- Making basic programme edits where required.
- Producing components to drawings with minimal supervision.
- Self-inspection to ensure accuracy and finish.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Following health and safety procedures.
- Working within an ISO 9001 quality-controlled environment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a CNC operator/setter.
- Confident setting jobs independently from engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Experience with HURCO machines or conversational controls preferred.
- Able to problem-solve and take ownership of your work.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
Desireable
- Experience with 4-axis machining.
- Experience across both milling and turning.
