Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bricklayers Labourer to assist with masonry and construction projects. The successful candidate will support skilled bricklayers and masons by preparing materials, handling tools, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the construction industry while developing essential skills in various trades. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to start a career in building and construction.

Responsibilities

Assisting bricklayers and masons with preparing mortar, bricks, and other materials for laying
Handling hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels to support masonry work
Operating power tools safely under supervision for cutting or shaping materials
Supporting carpentry tasks related to scaffolding or formwork when required
Assisting with roofing tasks by passing tools or materials as needed
Supporting welding activities on-site, including handling equipment and safety gear
Maintaining a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met
Moving materials around the site using appropriate manual handling techniques
Ensuring all safety protocols are followed during daily operations

Experience

Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, or masonry work is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Basic understanding of bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is desirable
Willingness to learn new skills and undertake on-the-job training in various trades
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy construction environment
Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour throughout the day

This role provides valuable exposure to multiple aspects of construction work, ideal for individuals looking to build a career in the building trade.

Pay: £110.00-£130.00 per day
