Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in woodworking and joinery, with the ability to fabricate and assemble high-quality cabinets and furniture. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and proficiency in using various tools and techniques to meet project specifications.

Duties

Fabricate cabinets and furniture components according to design specifications.
Assemble cabinetry using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and quality.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products as required.
Conduct joinery tasks, including cutting, shaping, and joining wood pieces.
Paint and finish surfaces to achieve the desired aesthetic appearance.
Collaborate with designers and clients to understand project requirements and preferences.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication or assembly process.

Skills

Proficient in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders.
Strong knowledge of hand tools used in woodworking and cabinet making.
Ability to plumb cabinets accurately for proper installation.
Experience in electrical work related to cabinetry (e.g., installing lighting fixtures).
Excellent joinery skills with a keen eye for detail.
Capability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication challenges.
Previous experience as a carpenter or in a similar role is advantageous.
