Job Title: Part-Time Property Assistant – Serviced Accommodation / Airbnb
Important – please read before applying
This role requires you to have your own car or van. You can NOT USE A BUS/BIKE/MOTORBIKE ETC. to fulfil this role.
You will be travelling between different properties in Bristol with strict time limits, carrying laundry, stock, small tools and supplies. Unfortunately, this role is not suitable for someone relying only on public transport.
You must also be comfortable with basic practical property tasks, including:
- Light painting and decorating touch-ups, mainly white walls and ceilings
- Light gardening, such as weeding, sweeping, basic lawn care and tidying outdoor areas
- Moving laundry bags and restocking household items
- Taking photos and reporting issues clearly by WhatsApp
This is not a desk-based role and it is not just a cleaning role. It is a practical property support role. Please only apply if you are reliable, hands-on, have your own transport, and are happy doing light painting, gardening, laundry movement and property checks.
Company: Green Acorn Holiday Homes
Location: Bristol
Employment Type: Part-time PAYE
Hours: 12 hours per week initially
Working Pattern: Tuesday and Thursday, 6 hours per day
Pay: £15 per hour
Expenses: Mileage and agreed parking reimbursed
Green Acorn Holiday Homes is looking for a reliable, practical and well-organised Property Assistant to help keep our serviced accommodation properties guest-ready.
This is a hands-on part-time role across our Bristol properties. It would suit someone who takes pride in doing things properly, notices small details, and is happy working independently from a clear checklist.
The role will start at 12 hours per week, usually Tuesday and Thursday, 6 hours per day.
Tuesday is normally our reset day after the weekend, when laundry and property supplies need to be organised. Thursday is our preparation day before busy Friday changeovers, making sure properties are stocked, presentable and ready before guests arrive.
Main duties include:
- Collecting, moving and organising laundry from a central Bristol storage/laundry point
- Making sure the correct linen and supplies are prepared for each property
- Restocking basic items such as cutlery, crockery, glasses, bulbs, batteries and household supplies
- Carrying out simple property checks using a checklist
- Taking clear photos of damage, missing items, poor presentation or maintenance issues
- Light garden tidying, including weeding, sweeping, basic lawn care and planter maintenance
- Minor white paint touch-ups to walls or ceilings where appropriate
- Reporting issues clearly by WhatsApp
- Returning property keys safely after each visit
- Supporting cleaners and contractors where needed
This is not a heavy maintenance role. You will not be expected to carry out electrical work, plumbing, gas work, roofing, heavy lifting or unsafe work. The focus is on light practical tasks, stock control, laundry movement, garden tidying, property presentation and quality checks.
We will supply paintbrushes, gloves, PPE, stock and basic equipment. Occasionally, the successful applicant may be asked to buy small approved items for a property, which will be reimbursed through payroll.
Access to properties will usually be through key safes. Keys must be returned securely after each visit.
The right person will be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Practical and hands-on
- Very good at noticing small details
- Comfortable working alone
- Able to follow checklists
- Trustworthy with keys and property access
- Respectful when working inside properties
- Comfortable using WhatsApp and taking photos
- Happy travelling between different Bristol properties
Requirements:
- Own car or van preferred
- Smartphone required
- Good spoken and written English
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous experience in serviced accommodation, Airbnb, cleaning, property maintenance, gardening, housekeeping or stock control would be helpful
Pay and expenses:
The role is paid at £15 per hour through PAYE.
Agreed parking costs will be reimbursed. Business mileage between agreed work locations will also be reimbursed at the agreed company rate.
Working pattern:
This role will start at 12 hours per week, normally Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 hours per day.
Extra hours may be available during busy periods, including occasional Friday or weekend work by agreement.
This is a good opportunity for someone who wants steady part-time work, variety, independence and the chance to grow with a local property business.
To apply:
Please send a short message confirming:
- Whether you are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Whether you have your own transport
- Any relevant experience with property, cleaning, gardening, maintenance, serviced accommodation or stock control
- Why you think you would be reliable in this role
Pay: £15.00 per hour
