The Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries (CCCI) is an interdisciplinary strategic research centre. This 12 month 0.5 FTE maternity leave role is an opportunity to job share with Co-Director, Professor Kate Pullinger, who established CCCI in 2017, developing research and enterprise across the University, playing a vital role in helping the University to consolidate our existing expertise in these areas, and to inform our future creative economy strategy and partnerships.
We are looking for an experienced researcher with interests that mesh well with those of BSU’s existing staff. The successful candidate will have significant experience of obtaining external grant funding and/or enterprise and innovation income and plans to develop further successful bids to funding bodies both nationally and internationally. The role will include taking on responsibilities including PhD supervision, research mentorship, and REF planning

You will have a sustained and substantial record of internationally recognised REF Outputs in the broad field of Cultural and Creative Industries.
- You will be in a position to make a significant contribution of world-class work to future Research Excellence Framework exercises, and to other national quality indicators of high-quality learning and teaching.
- You will generate external funding for your research both within your own discipline and, where appropriate, across disciplines, by working with colleagues to meet research and enterprise income targets.
- An understanding of the creative economy and creative industries ecosystem in the West of England
- Experience with University processes for working with external partners and innovation hubs like The Studio
