Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Linen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient handling of linen supplies across the hotel. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our establishment, contributing to a positive guest experience. Previous hotel experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and eager to support the smooth operation of our housekeeping department.

Duties

Collect, transport, and distribute clean linen to various departments within the hotel
Collect soiled linen from designated areas and ensure proper disposal or laundering
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of linen storage areas
Assist with loading and unloading laundry deliveries, ensuring items are handled with care
Keep accurate records of linen stock levels and report shortages or damages promptly
Support other housekeeping staff as needed to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet quality standards
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good physical fitness, capable of lifting and moving linen loads safely
Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
Friendly attitude with good communication skills
Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to health and safety guidelines

Pay: £12.90-£13.20 per hour

Work Location: In person
