SST Sensing Limited, a division of DwyerOmega, designs and manufactures a range of electronic sensors and instruments, specialising in fluid and gas sensing products that have been supplied to multiple industries for over 20 years.
Our design and manufacturing facilities are located in Shawhead Industrial Estate, Coatbridge, just off the recently developed A8/M8. The Production team work a four-day week, Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 5pm. The company offers competitive pay and excellent benefits.
The Role
We seek a motivated and flexible production operator who has experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; an electronic manufacturing background is advantageous.
The role involves assembling small components so being manually dexterous, with a good attention to detail is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assembly of components and sub-assemblies
- Carrying out visual quality checks to ensure compliance with production standards and specifications
- Testing assemblies to ensure compliance
- Packing and labelling of finished parts to standard and customer specific requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience working in an assembly or a manufacturing environment
- Good practical skills and the ability to work quickly and precisely, demonstrating excellent dexterity and hand to eye co-ordination
- Excellent attention to detail
- Soldering skills are desirable but not essential
- Understanding of manufacturing work instructions and quality control processes
- Ability to follow instructions with an awareness of health and safety
- Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks
- Good team working skills
- Excellent time-management
