Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fencer to join our construction team, bringing expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining fencing structures across various projects. As a vital contributor to our site safety and aesthetic appeal, you will work on diverse fencing installations, ensuring they meet safety standards and client specifications. This role offers an energetic environment where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will directly impact the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

Measure and mark fencing layouts according to project plans and specifications
Install different types of fencing including wood, chain-link, vinyl, or metal panels with precision and efficiency
Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, post drivers, and welding equipment to assemble and secure fencing materials
Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement and alignment of fencing structures
Perform repairs and maintenance on existing fences to extend their lifespan and improve security
Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
Fabricate custom fence components as needed using welding and metalworking techniques

Qualifications

Proven experience in fencing installation or related construction trades
Strong skills in carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or fabrication are highly desirable
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction projects
Knowledge of construction painting for finishing touches on fences or related structures
Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements accurately
Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards
