Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and Educate: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that captivate children's imaginations and promote their developmental milestones in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Personalized Care: Provide loving and attentive care to each child, recognizing their unique needs and interests. Ensure every child feels valued and supported.
- Monitor and Celebrate Progress: Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's development, keeping detailed records and celebrating their achievements with parents and colleagues.
- Engage with Families: Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers. Communicate openly about their child’s progress and involve them in the nursery community.
- Champion Safeguarding: Maintain the highest standards of safety and well-being, strictly adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures to protect every child in our care.
- Team Collaboration: Be an integral part of our supportive and passionate team. Share ideas, participate in team meetings, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Resource Management: Help organize and maintain educational materials and resources, ensuring they are used creatively and effectively to enhance learning experiences.
- Create a Vibrant Environment: Design and maintain an inviting, clean, and stimulating nursery environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.
Qualifications and Skills
- Level 3 Qualification: A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3, or equivalent).
- Experience and Passion: Proven experience in an early years setting, with a heartfelt commitment to child development and education.
- Knowledge and Innovation: In-depth understanding of child development and the EYFS framework, coupled with a creative approach to implementing best practices.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to connect effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observation and Assessment Skills: Keen observational skills to assess and document children's progress accurately.
- Creative Energy: A vibrant and enthusiastic approach to planning and delivering activities that ignite curiosity and foster learning.
- Team Spirit: A collaborative and supportive team player, always ready to contribute positively to our nursery community.
- Certification: Up-to-date safeguarding and first aid certifications are highly desirable.
