Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Riding Instructor specialising in equine activities to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality riding lessons, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
Currently we have Friday evening 4-7pm and Alternate Saturdays 1/2 or full day, plus alternate Weds eve 4-7pm. Holiday cover also available. There is no criteria to take all shifts.
Duties
- Conduct riding lessons for individuals and groups across various skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders
- Develop customised lesson plans tailored to each rider’s abilities and goals
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper riding techniques and safety protocols
- Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of riding equipment and stables
- Provide guidance on horse care, grooming, and tack maintenance as part of rider education
- Monitor rider progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching, teaching, or equivalent roles within an equestrian setting
- Strong knowledge of horse behaviour, care, and handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct riders of all ages
- Valid certification in equine riding instruction or equivalent recognised qualification is preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle horses safely and confidently
- Enthusiastic, patient, organised, and committed to delivering exceptional instruction
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
