HS Roofing & Construction Ltd is a Bath-based roofing contractor specialising in heritage and listed building work. We take pride in traditional craftsmanship — period Bath stone properties, reclaimed natural slate, traditional leadwork, and conservation roofing — alongside the full range of pitched and flat roofing contracts. Our reputation is built on quality, attention to detail, and doing the job properly.
We're now looking for a reliable Roofer / Driver to join our team and support our skilled roofers on site.
The role
This is a hands-on, dual role combining practical roofing work with materials and logistics. Day to day, you'll be:
- Supporting our skilled roofers on site across a range of heritage and contemporary projects
- Running materials to and between sites in Bath and the surrounding areas
- Carrying out flat bed tipper drops and collections
- Loading, unloading, and managing materials safely and efficiently
- Assisting with general roofing tasks, including basic lead work
- Helping to keep sites tidy, safe, and well organised
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Fabricating materials as required for specialised roofing tasks
- Heavy lifting of materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and other roofing components
- Supporting with other construction services as necessary, a varied knowledge would be great.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assisting with the utilisation of construction equipment including scaffolding and ladders
- Collaborating with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience in roofing or related trades is desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and fabrication techniques is advantageous
- Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn new skills within the construction trade and adhere to safety protocols
Pay: £130.00-£150.00 per day
