We are currently recruiting for various roles across our stadium operations and are looking for people who wish to join our hospitality team and become a part of the team that delivers outstanding experiences for our supporters, guests, and corporate clients.

The positions are ideal for individuals with a background in hospitality, catering, or food service, who enjoy working in dynamic settings and delivering high standards of customer care. Flexible approach to work as the working hours will be aligned with our matchday and events schedule.

Key responsibilities and requirements:
Catering General Assistant: (Pay rate: National Minimum Wage)
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, professionally, and with a friendly approach.
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks from the bar while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and respond positively to guest requests.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
- Follow all health, safety, and food handling procedures.
- Adhere to licensing regulations and responsible alcohol service requirements.
- Help create a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable environment for all guests.
Casual Lounge Supervisor: (Pay rate: £13.50 Per hour)
- Lead, supervise and support the hospitality team within our premium lounges.
- Deliver pre-event staff briefings, allocate responsibilities, and ensure service standards are understood and maintained.
- Motivate and develop team members by leading through example and promoting a positive working culture.
- Provide exceptional guest service and professionally resolve any customer queries or concerns.
- Monitor lounge operations throughout service to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Support the training and development of staff to build confidence, knowledge, and capability.
- Ensure all lounge areas are presented to the highest standard at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a smooth and memorable hospitality experience on every matchday.
Casual Matchday Cook: (Pay rate: £14 Per hour)
- Preparing and cooking matchday favourites, including burgers, pies, sausage rolls, and grab-and-go menu items.
- Supporting the delivery of fixture-specific menus and matchday specials.
- Ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
- Monitoring food quality, temperatures, and allergen controls.
- Working closely with kitchen and catering colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Supporting stock management and helping minimise waste.
- Previous experience as a Prep Chef, Cook, or in a similar catering role
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergen management, and food safety requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in high-volume catering, events, hospitality, or stadium environments.
- Confidence preparing a consistent menu for large numbers of customers. Positive attitude with a strong team ethic.
Casual Cellar and Stock Assistant: (Pay rate: Non-Matchday Shifts: National Minimum Wage; Matchday Shifts: £13.00 Per hour)
- Ensuring food and beverage outlets are fully stocked and operational before, during, and after events.
- Replenishing stock across bars, kiosks, hospitality lounges, and cellar areas.
- Safely moving stock throughout the stadium, including soft drinks, confectionery, beer barrels, and gas canisters.
- Assisting with deliveries, stock checks, and stock rotation.
- Supporting the safe removal and disposal of empty barrels.
- Maintaining clean, organised, and safe cellar and storage areas.
- Working closely with catering and hospitality teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks safely and comfortably.
Casual Food and Bevarage assistant: (Pay rate: National Minimum Wage)
- Serving food and beverages to supporters and guests across the stadium.
- Providing friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Working as part of a busy team during matchdays and events.
- Supporting the setup and close down of kiosks, hospitality areas, and service points.
- Assisting with stock replenishment and ensuring service areas remain organised.
- Following food safety procedures, including allergen awareness and temperature controls.
- Representing Portsmouth FC positively and contributing to a welcoming environment for all visitors.
Your Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, retail, or customer service.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
- Experience working within stadiums, events, hospitality, or catering environments.
- Confidence in promoting and upselling food and beverage products.
