Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support senior chefs in food production, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Help with food plating and presentation to meet quality standards
Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for ingredients or supplies
Supervise junior team members when required, providing guidance and support
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols at all times
Contribute to maintaining a positive, efficient, and collaborative kitchen environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within hospitality or restaurant settings
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Leadership qualities with previous supervising or team management experience preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and senior staff
Knowledge of food production processes and culinary techniques
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to continuous learning within the hospitality industry

Pay: £13.00 per hour
