Full job description

Olympia Electrical Ltd is seeking a motivated and reliable Electrician to join our growing team. We work across domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, delivering high-quality electrical installations, maintenance, testing, fault finding and renewable energy solutions.

The successful candidate will take pride in producing work to a high standard, demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and represent the company professionally on site.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical installations in domestic, commercial and industrial environments.
Undertake maintenance, repairs and fault finding on electrical systems.
Complete electrical testing, inspection and certification in accordance with current regulations.
Install and commission
Lighting and emergency lighting.
Power and distribution systems.
Consumer units and distribution boards.
Fire alarm and detection systems where required.
Solar PV systems, battery storage and EV charging equipment (training provided where necessary).
Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Ensure all work complies with BS 7671, Building Regulations and company procedures.
Complete job documentation accurately using digital or paper-based systems.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Liaise professionally with customers, contractors and other trades.
Support apprentices and less experienced members of the team where appropriate.

Requirements

Essential:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
AM2 qualification.
ECS Gold Card.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Good fault-finding ability.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent).
Experience with solar PV, battery storage or EV charging installations.
IPAF, PASMA or other relevant certifications.
