Full job description

Watson Gym Equipment is a highly successful gym equipment manufacturer, established in 1999. We design and manufacture a wide range of specialist gym equipment for commercial gyms, elite training facilities and private clients, exporting our products worldwide.

As the business continues to grow, we’re looking for a creative and organised Marketing Specialist / Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality marketing activity across the brand.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering design, content, website updates, email campaigns, social media support, asset management and events. You’ll be working with tools such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to help create high-quality branded materials, while also supporting product content, campaign delivery and wider marketing projects.

What you’ll be doing:

Collateral Development:

· Able to use InDesign to complete collateral (brochures / sales sheets) following brand standards

· Able to use Photoshop for basic photography resizing / formatting

· Able to use Illustrator for basic layout / graphic production

Website:

· Data entry / ensuring product data is complete and kept up to date

· Uploading images, completing product usp’s / features & benefits

· Basic SEO – image formatting / naming, internal linking, copywriting

Asset Management:

· Organising and collating product content and assets from in-house and external content creators

· Organising and archiving collateral for reference by in-house sales and external distributors

Social Media:

· Assisting the in-house content creator with the production process – planning / delivery of content, copywriting, community management, responding to comments and messages

· Studio calendar scheduling

Email:

· Design email marketing campaigns from templates

Events:

· Support the planning and delivery of events

General Marketing Assistant Duties

· Responding to requests for Marketing Support from in-house sales and external distributors.

· Liaising with suppliers – print, merchandise, etc.

Requirements:

· 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing, design or content-focused role

· Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work within brand guidelines

· Good written communication skills, with the ability to support copywriting and content creation

· Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks across different marketing projects
