Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents or clients as well as assisting with opening and closing events at the hall. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties

Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in all areas.
Open and Close non regular hirer events.
Ensure that all communal areas are kept tidy and presentable at all times.
Carry out commercial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Assist with the maintenance of outdoor areas, including gardening and litter picking.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Provide support with moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or activities.
Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and report when stocks are low.

Requirements

Previous experience in a caretaker or cleaning role is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices is highly advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
Physical fitness is required as the role involves manual handling and standing for extended periods.
