Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tiler to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tiled surfaces in various settings, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction and a keen eye for precision to contribute to diverse projects. The position involves working with a range of tools and materials, requiring both technical expertise and physical dexterity.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying appropriate primers or adhesives
Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to project specifications
Apply grout or sealants to ensure durable finishes
Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical plans
Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste materials safely
Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters and painters to complete projects efficiently
Conduct quality checks throughout the installation process to meet safety standards and client expectations

Experience

Proven experience in tiling within the construction or renovation sectors
Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, cutters, and levels
Knowledge of carpentry principles and construction painting is advantageous
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
Experience reading schematics and technical drawings related to tiling projects
Prior exposure to working with construction materials including adhesives, grouts, and sealants

Candidates should possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A background in construction combined with practical experience using various tools will be highly valued.

Candidates should have a valid driving license and own transport.

Pay: £120.00-£150.00 per day
