Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Manager/Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our logistics and warehousing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient materials handling, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- Oversee materials handling processes, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods using equipment such as forklifts
- Implement process improvements to optimise workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity
- Manage team performance through effective team management and training programmes
- Utilise warehouse management systems MintSoft to track inventory levels and order processing
- Oversee the operation of forklift trucks and mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate logistics activities with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to health and safety standards in the warehouse
- Handle shipping & receiving documentation accurately and efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, maintaining proper ergonomic practices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a logistics or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of materials handling equipment, including forklift operation (certification preferred)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems functionality
- Experience with process improvement methodologies to optimise operational efficiency
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
- Knowledge of logistics operations, including shipping & receiving procedures and 3PL coordination
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a regular basis
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation compliance
