Job Summary
We are seeking a self-employed driver specialising in parcel delivery to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering parcels to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely service. This role offers flexibility for independent contractors who are organised, reliable, and possess excellent driving skills. A valid driver’s licence and experience in commercial driving are essential for success in this position. Fuel and van will be provided.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport parcels across designated routes
- Load and unload parcels, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times or issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the delivery vehicle
- Complete all required documentation and delivery logs accurately
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during deliveries
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Organised with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time well
- Experience with warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently under minimal supervision
