Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Nursery Finance and general Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting staff, and ensuring a welcoming environment for children and parents alike. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to early childhood development while maintaining efficient nursery operations. Prior experience in teaching or early childhood education is highly desirable, as it will enhance your ability to support the nursery’s educational goals.

Responsibilities

Excellent financial reconciliation experience a requirement especially with invoicing

Manage all administrative duties including enrolments, attendance records, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Support staff with scheduling, planning, and organising activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
Liaise effectively with parents, providing information and addressing enquiries in a professional manner.
Assist in organising educational programmes and activities that promote children’s development.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and nursery policies at all times.
Maintain a welcoming environment by overseeing cleanliness, organisation of materials, and resource management.
Support teaching staff with classroom preparations and administrative support as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in an administrative role within a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is highly advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional manner.
Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office Suite or similar programmes.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative independently.
A recognised qualification or background in teaching or early childhood development will be considered an asset.
Must be at advanced level with excel and word.

You will be subject to DBS clearance and have 3 good references in a finance & admin role.

Pay: £12.71-£12.80 per hour
