Full job description

Job Purpose:

Provide quality engineering leadership and support across the business, acting as the primary quality representative for nominated customers. Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory requirements a quality management system requirement while driving continuous improvement, problem solving and customer satisfaction.

Main Duties:

· Provide technical guidance and support on quality and process requirements across the business.

· Ensure customer quality requirements are accurately incorporated into products, processes and documentation.

· Generate, review and approve customer and internal quality documentation, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.

· Lead investigations into non-conforming products, customer complaints and quality issues, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.

· Review and approve product release documentation in line with customer requirements.

· Support customer, supplier and third-party quality audits.

· Analyse quality data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

· Mentor and support Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors, promoting best practice across the business.

· Lead quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improves process capability and extend customer satisfaction.

· Participate in cross-functional projects and support New Product Introduction activities.

· Deputise for the Quality Manager when required.

Person Specification:

· Previous experience in a Quality Engineering role within an electronic manufacturing environment (Desirable)

· Experience working to AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards

· Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements

· Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

· Excellent communication and customer relationship skills

· Ability to lead quality improvement activities and support cross-functional teams

· High attention to detail with pro-active approach to continuous improvement
