Role Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience working with children with challenging behaviour and/or additional support needs in a residential setting, professional capacity or local community.
An SVQ 3 or 4 in social care and working towards or having a HNC in social care or equivalent is essential.
A valid UK driving licence
An understanding of GIRFEC and curriculum for excellence is desirable.
Experience of working with children and families.
An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation.
The ability to work in a positive, respectful and empowering way with young people, in order to promote good relationships and encourage achievement while being a positive role model.
Experience and understanding in dealing with challenging situations.
