We are a small steel fabrication company based in Beith, Ayrshire.
Due to increased workload we have a temporary position that may lead to permanent with immediate start for work on the fabrication of gates/railings and similar mild steel fabrications.
The position will require work to be carried out in the workshop and at times on site (installation of gates/railings, including ground works)
Fabrication will consist of: balustrades, hand rails, staircases and balconies (pretty much all aspects of fabrication).
Experience Required:
MIG welding/fabrication, alloy and stainless welding would be an advantage.
Competent in all aspects of cutting, grinding and drilling.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role, be confident in reading and working from detailed drawings and able to work accurately and to a very high standard.
As we are a small company the successful candidate would be involved in every part of our production process from unloading steel deliveries right through to final preparation and packaging for courier collections.
You need to be self-motivated and be able to work both on your own and as part of a small team.
Full clean driving license preferred as delivery/collection of goods will be required.
Forklift experience would be an advantage.
