Full job description

Smith Services Ltd is a Rope Access, H-Vac, and specialist services company seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead our Specialist Division across the Midlands, Northeast and Northwest Regions.

Regional Operations Manager:

As Regional Operations Manager, you will manage and oversee business activities across multiple locations, driving operational efficiency and financial performance while ensuring compliance with company standards.

You will act as the link between our site teams and senior management, supporting and developing local teams to improve operational performance, plan and schedule work effectively, manage recruitment and budgets, communicate clearly, liaise with clients, and build a strong drive to succeed.

This opportunity is ideal for a professional with experience in the specialist cleaning services industry, including managing teams in a fast-paced, demanding environment and ensuring seamless delivery of contracted specialist services for major clients.

It is important that you have a record of direct, day to day delivery of soft services specialist services, as travelling and working throughout these regions are necessary.

The Job Role:

Support current Managers across your region to manage, develop, grow, and recruit local specialist services teams. These teams should be able to work across multiple disciplines as needed, schedule and inspect work, complete reports and audits, and maximise productivity across our geographical areas for specialist services.
Actively network within your region to grow our specialist services portfolio, including H-Vac works, vent and kitchen cleaning, carpet cleaning, high-level cleaning, pressure washing, gutter and cladding cleaning, graffiti removal, netting, and related services. We also carry out some low-level window cleaning on the Rope Access accounts we service.
Planning and organising jobs, manpower, equipment, and materials.
Monitoring costs against budget.
Checking timesheets for processing to payroll.
Performance monitoring through supervision and auditing of workforce and jobs.
Ensuring Health and Safety compliance for creating and processing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Essential Requirements:

At least three years’ management experience in the specialist cleaning and facilities services industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in project planning and scheduling.
A hardworking, honest, enthusiastic, and analytical approach.
Flexibility to work hours that meet the needs of the business.
Willingness to travel as required by the business.
Be a self-motivator and collaborator who can support, encourage, and build confidence across teams.
Ability to survey large and small type projects
IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
A full, clean UK driving licence.

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
