Position: Finance Assistant
Location: Lisburn, Head Office
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Salary: £28-£33,000.00 per annum + Benefits
Benefits: 28 days annual leave plus 4 bank holidays, Pension, Life Assurance, Medicash scheme, cycle to work scheme, and as much coffee as you can drink!

Purpose of Role:
In this role, you will be responsible to support various finance functions with a wide variety of accounting tasks for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing administrative support to the finance team. The overall purpose will be to contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Management and organisation of the finance and credt control inbox and filing of all communication in an organised and structured way.
Posting all receivables transactions from the bank statement to the customer account and reconcliations.
Resolve queries and investigate unallocated cash queries or payment discrepancies
Preparing and processing the direct debit run every month alongside credit control
Work closely with the Credit Control in order to maintain up to date customer accounts and monitor customer accounts and chasing overdue payments
Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements
Assisting with payment runs and general purchase legder duties
Raising sales invoices and credit notes
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month end processes
Perform other monthly adhoc task, assist with annual external audit and general finance administration
Work collaboratively across finance and operational teams

Experience

To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have previous experience in a finance position, ideally in FMCG or a B2B company. Youll be a competent user of all Microsoft Office packages. Youll be an excellent team player who can also take responsibility for your own workload.

Skills / Knowledge
Essential:

Competent in all Microsoft Office packages specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word to a high level
Competent in finance software/ERP System
Excellent communication skills to communicate with other teams in a positive manner
Highly numerate with strong analytical skills; methodical and precise in producing accurate work, with a proactive approach to follow-up

Desirable:

Previous use of Dynamics D365 or relevant ERP System

Focused on company targets while attentive to all processes and deadlines
Hands on and a proactive attitude
Strong attention to detail
Able to follow strict processes, structures, and deadlines
