Oak Tree Manor is a beautiful, modern care and nursing home in Dunmurry, Lisburn. Enjoying a quiet location with lovely views, this bright and spacious residence offers professional, person-centred care for people over the age of 65, including those living with dementia, requiring nursing or palliative attention.
We create a comfortable home-from-home environment, where residents can feel safe and relaxed. The facilities available within the home are designed to enable residents to be as independent as possible, with the benefit of 24 hour support and care around the clock.

The accommodation at Oak Tree Manor features attractively decorated and beautifully furnished private bedrooms, complete with en suite bathrooms and pleasant views. Residents are very welcome to bring their own home accessories and furniture, to personalise their space and make it their home.
The Role
The Kitchen Assistants in our Homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, ensuring that residents receive high quality meals and dining experiences. The role is essential to the wellbeing of our residents through the provision of high-quality, person-centred dining experiences.
Working as part of the Kitchen team, reporting to the Chef the role is about a lot more than preparing and serving meals – the Kitchen Assistant will support with ensuring the dietary needs of our residents are met in addition to contributing to a safe and positive working environment.
About The Role
Main Responsibilities

Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.

Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.

Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.

Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.

Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.

Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.

Required Criteria
