Experienced Kitchen Porter (Part Time)

Bean & Grape is a vibrant café, wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Glengormley, renowned for exceptional customer service, quality food, artisan coffee, and an extensive wine selection. We're looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team.

This is a key role within our business, helping to keep the kitchen running efficiently and ensuring our chefs have everything they need to deliver the high standards our customers expect. If you're someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, and thrives in a busy environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitise all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, cookware and utensils to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
Keep all kitchen areas clean, organised and compliant with food safety regulations.
Support the chefs with basic food preparation when required.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock is put away safely and efficiently.
Empty bins, manage waste and recycling, and maintain a clean external waste area.
Restock cleaning products, kitchen equipment and consumables as required.
Help prepare the kitchen before service and ensure it is thoroughly cleaned down at the end of each shift.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations during busy service periods.
Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested to support the wider team.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A positive attitude with a willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
