Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Subway Sandwich maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced food service setting, contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.
Age: Over 18 yrs only - due to nature of job role and hours/shifts that are required to work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare customised sandwiches and salads according to customer preferences, ensuring high standards of food presentation and quality.
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including counters, utensils, and food preparation stations.
- Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Upsell additional items such as drinks or snacks to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts.
- Handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently during transactions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients.
- Experience in kitchen environments or culinary roles is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
