Full job description

Mark McIntyre Architect is seeking an experienced and proactive Architectural Technologist, Senior

Architectural Technologist or Project Architect to join our small but busy architectural practice based in Newtownards.

We work across a broad range of residential, commercial, healthcare and property-related projects throughout Northern Ireland and are looking for someone who can assist in the preparation and coordination of technical and construction information across a variety of live schemes.

This is a flexible and hands-on role within a small practice environment and would suit an individual seeking meaningful involvement across a varied workload, with the opportunity for increased project responsibility over time.

Projects range from bespoke residential developments and town-centre regeneration schemes through to commercial and healthcare projects.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Practice Principal across a range of live projects and will play an active role in project progression and technical delivery.

The Role Will Involve:

preparation and development of technical drawing packages
coordination of Planning, Building Control and construction information
liaison with clients, consultants and contractors
attending meetings and site visits
assisting with the progression of multiple live projects
supporting the delivery of projects from design development through to construction

The role will initially focus primarily on technical and construction information, with scope for increased responsibility and project leadership over time depending on experience and capability.

Desired Criteria:

a minimum of 5 years’ experience within architectural practice
strong technical and construction knowledge
proficiency in AutoCAD
the ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
confidence communicating with clients, consultants and contractors
a practical and proactive approach to project delivery
experience within Northern Ireland Planning and Building Control systems would be advantageous

Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
