Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Assistant/Room Leader to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and childcare management. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a genuine love for working with children. Applicants must be organised, proactive, and committed to supporting children's development through engaging activities and personalised care.

Duties

Lead and supervise daily activities within the nursery room, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning and development.
Support children's emotional well-being by providing attentive care and encouragement.
Working as part of the team effectively, delegating tasks and providing guidance to junior staff or assistants.
Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's development.
Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times, including risk assessments and hygiene protocols.
Organise resources and materials needed for daily activities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and suitable for children’s use.
Assist with organising outings or special events that enhance children's learning experiences.
Have a passion for working with children and are commitment to giving every child the best day possible
Creating beautiful environments, rewarding activities, and meaningful learning experiences

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
Positive leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles.
Excellent communication skills
Childcare qualification NVQ Level 3 in Childcare required for the role
Passionate about early childhood education with a caring attitude towards children’s individual needs.

Hours of work

Monday - Friday (5 days) 1.30PM- 6.00PM Monday - Friday

Job Types: Full-time/ Part time , Permanent

Pay: £13.45-£13.50 per hour
