About Little Feather Management
Little Feather Management is a fast-growing property and hospitality management company based in Belfast. We manage a portfolio of serviced apartments and are expanding significantly this summer, taking on large-scale student accommodation sites across the city. It is an exciting time to join us: the business is growing quickly and there is real scope for the right person to make a meaningful contribution from day one.
The Role
This is a genuinely hands-on summer internship for someone who wants real operational experience, not just work shadowing. You will be embedded in the management team from the start, taking on real responsibilities across guest communication, operations coordination, property management and administration. If you are the kind of person who thrives when given ownership of tasks and loves the energy of a fast-paced environment, this role will suit you very well.
You will gain exposure to all aspects of running a multi-property hospitality business over the course of the summer, including direct guest interaction, booking and pricing systems, cleaning and maintenance coordination, and day-to-day problem solving. By the end of your internship you will have a strong foundation of real-world hospitality and operations experience that will stand out on your CV and give you a genuine head start in your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing guest communication including check-ins, pre-arrival messages, queries and issue resolution across the portfolio
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of operations across multiple properties in Belfast
- Coordinating cleaning schedules and liaising with the cleaning team to ensure rooms are turned around on time and to standard
- Conducting regular property checks and reporting maintenance issues, damage or guest concerns to the management team
- Supporting the management team with bookings, pricing updates and system administration using Hostaway and other platforms
- Assisting with the onboarding and induction of seasonal cleaning and front desk staff during the summer ramp-up
- Providing general administrative and operational support as required, including document preparation, filing and communications
- Identifying operational improvements and feeding back ideas to the management team throughout the season
What We’re Looking For
We are not necessarily looking for someone who has done this before. We are looking for someone with the right attitude: curious, reliable, proactive and genuinely enthusiastic about building a career in hospitality or operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: you will be representing the business in guest communications
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail: you will be managing multiple tasks and properties simultaneously
- Proactive and self-directed: comfortable taking initiative and getting on with things without being asked twice
- Calm under pressure: hospitality can be fast-paced and things do not always go to plan
- Comfortable learning new technology quickly: we use a range of property management and communication tools
- A genuine interest in hospitality, property management or business operations
Desirable:
- Previous experience in hospitality, short-term lettings, Airbnb management or customer service
- Familiarity with property management systems such as Hostaway, Guesty or similar
- A full driving licence
- Currently studying or recently graduated in a relevant field such as hospitality management, business, tourism or property
What You’ll Gain
- Competitive Paid Internship - £2,100 per month
- Paid Holiday - 5.6 weeks pro rata holiday entitlement for the duration of your internship
- Real Responsibility From Day One - You will own tasks and projects from the very start, not just shadow others
- Direct Access to Leadership - You will work closely with the management team and have direct access to the directors
- Full Training and Support -Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing support throughout the season
- Exposure to Industry Systems - Hands-on experience with Hostaway and other hospitality and property management platforms
- Potential for Ongoing Work -For the right person, there may be the opportunity to continue in a part-time or flexible capacity beyond the summer
