Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic/MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and testing. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment, ensuring vehicles meet safety standards and operate efficiently. Duties

Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with MOT standards
Perform repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models
Service ,Brakes , Tyres , Clutch ,Suspension and Timing Belts
Use hand tools and power tools to carry out diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments
Carry out MOT testing in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards
Document all work carried out accurately and maintain detailed records of vehicle inspections and repairs
Assist with vehicle safety checks, fluid level assessments, tyre replacements, brake inspections, and other essential maintenance tasks
Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the workshop environment

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and repairs
Previous experience conducting MOT tests is highly desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine tasks
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
Relevant qualifications or certifications in vehicle repair or MOT testing are advantageous but not mandatory
PAY DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE
Apprenticeships are welcome - full training program will be provided
