Role Overview
The Powder Coating Labourer will be responsible for supporting the powder coating process by preparing parts, maintaining the work environment, and assisting the powder coaters. This is an entry-level role with potential for growth, ideal for someone with a good work ethic and attention to detail..
Key Responsibilities
Prepare parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts on racks.
Assist in loading and unloading parts from the coating booths or oven.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning tools and equipment.
Monitor and maintain supplies such as masking materials, cleaning agents, and other necessary items.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Help in inspecting coated parts for quality and assist in reworking any defective items.
Perform general labouring tasks as needed to support production operations.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a powder coating industry is required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Team player with strong communication skills.
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
A forklift licence would be a major advantage
