About Euroscot Engineering
Since 1969, Euroscot Engineering has been producing high-tolerance precision components from Hillington Park, Glasgow. The components you machine here go into defence systems, satellite structures, advanced electronics and aerospace applications — industries where accuracy is a contract requirement, not an aspiration.
In 2025 we moved into a new facility at Hillington Park — bright, modern and equipped for the next stage of our growth. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations and operate 3 to 5-axis milling centres, multi-axis turning and sliding head machines.
The Role
We’re looking for a skilled CNC Miller to take ownership of producing complex, tight-tolerance components for some of the UK’s most demanding industries. You’ll work on modern 3 to 5-axis machining centres — programming, setting, fixturing and running your own work with a high degree of autonomy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain, Fanuc and/or WinMax controls
- Multi-axis machining — 3, 4 and 5-axis — proving out programs and running high-precision components
- Designing and manufacturing custom fixturing solutions to optimise machining efficiency
- Self-inspecting finished components and interpreting CMM inspection reports
- Offline programming using OneCNC, Edgecam or similar CAD/CAM software
- Identifying and implementing process improvements in line with Lean, 5S and Kaizen principles
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised workspace in line with ISO 45001
What You’ll Bring — Essential
- Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Competent in either Heidenhain, Fanuc or WinMax controls
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Experience producing components to tight geometric tolerances in a precision environment
- Strong problem-solving approach — able to diagnose and resolve machining, tooling and programming issues
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring — Advantageous
- Experience in defence, aerospace, satellite or electronics manufacturing
- 5-axis machining and fixturing design experience
- Offline CAD/CAM programming (OneCNC, Edgecam or similar)
- Familiarity with CMM inspection reports
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S or Kaizen methodologies
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
The Kind of Person We’re Looking For
Beyond the technical skills, we look for people who bring the right approach to work:
✔ Tenacity — a determined approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
✔ Diplomacy — strong communication and team collaboration skills
✔ Leadership & Influence — the ability to contribute positively to the team and motivate those around you
✔ Growth Mindset — a willingness to learn, adapt and develop alongside a growing business
✔ Housekeeping & Organisation — genuine commitment to a clean, safe and well-run workspace
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, fully negotiable depending on your experience
- Premium rates for overtime and night shift work
- Company pension scheme
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Modern, purpose-built workshop at Hillington Park, Glasgow
- Work that matters — your components go into defence, satellite and aerospace systems
