Looking to work in the exciting world of beer and drinks dispense at Events? Are you someone who enjoys a diverse working day, travelling to different locations around London and the South East?
Who are we?
Rent a Keg is a small family run business based in Edenbridge, Kent, established in 2004 to fill a niche in the events market delivering kegs and installing taps for private and corporate parties. The business has since grown from strength to strength, expanding into exhibitions, corporate offices and permanent draught installations, becoming one of the leading providers of temporary and permanent draught dispense solutions in the South East.
Due to our continued expansion and rapid growth, we are now looking to add another technician to our team to help support increasing demand across both our events and corporate office divisions.
As we solely deal with the events and corporate office market, the role has many benefits that you would not normally associate with a dispense technician position, such as not having to work in cellars, kit already being pre-prepared, the use of off the shelf parts, and flexible working hours with options of overtime or time in lieu.
We are a small team of five full time staff, but a highly efficient team that operates effectively to deliver our bespoke products to interesting and often exciting locations, from 5 star hotels and famous corporations to the occasional celebrity party.
The Role
As a very important customer facing member of the team, we require a day to day technician to install and deliver kegs, taps, glassware and bars for our customers. The work is based on weekly shifts spread across five days per week.
Work is spread from Monday to Sunday, however weekends and unsocial hours are paid at a higher rate. No more than six Saturdays per quarter are required and Sunday shifts are rare. The role offers a minimum of 40 paid hours per week with the option of overtime when available. Given the nature of the role, time in lieu can also be accrued and taken in quieter periods.
A typical week's work would include the installation of short term hire draught setups, line cleaning and installing kegs for corporate offices, installing new equipment for long term lease clients and, on occasion, helping the wider team install larger temporary systems for festivals and sporting events. There is also the opportunity to work at events as a cellar technician at an increased rate of pay.

The role would suit someone who enjoys driving, is active and physically fit, as heavy lifting is required, enjoys meeting new people and can build ongoing working relationships.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and enjoy installing draught equipment to a very high standard, taking pride in their work. You will also have an interest in the beer and drinks industry and/or the technical side of dispense.
