The Opportunity
ODL Dental Clinic and London Orthodontic Clinic are seeking an experienced and ambitious Specialist Orthodontist or Dentist with a Special Interest in Orthodontics to join our growing private clinical team.
You will work closely with experienced Orthodontic Therapists and a skilled multidisciplinary team. You will benefit from established patient demand, strong internal referrals and comprehensive clinical and operational support.
This role is suited to a confident clinician with significant experience managing fixed appliance and clear aligner cases from initial assessment through to treatment completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake orthodontic assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Deliver and oversee fixed appliance and Invisalign treatments
- Manage patients from initial assessment through active treatment, completion and retention planning
- Prescribe treatment and provide clinical guidance to Orthodontic Therapists
- Review patient progress and make appropriate clinical adjustments
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records
- Meet all relevant clinical governance, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Practice Principal and multidisciplinary team
- Deliver consistently high clinical standards and an excellent patient experience
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be currently registered with the General Dental Council
- Be either:
- Registered on the GDC Specialist List in Orthodontics; or
- A dentist with recognised postgraduate training and demonstrable orthodontic experience
- Hold an MSc, MClinDent or another relevant postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics
- Have at least five years’ relevant orthodontic experience
- Have personally led and completed a minimum of 200 orthodontic cases from start to finish
- Have managed those cases from assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning through active treatment, completion and retention planning
- Have substantial fixed appliance experience
- Be confident independently treatment-planning and managing Invisalign or other clear aligner cases
- Be appropriately trained, competent and indemnified
- Have strong communication, clinical judgement and record-keeping skills
- Have the right to work in the United Kingdom

Desirable Experience
- Experience prescribing treatment and providing clinical direction to Orthodontic Therapists
- Experience in a busy private orthodontic or dental setting
- Confidence using digital scanners and orthodontic treatment-planning systems
- Strong consultation, case presentation and patient communication skills
