Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts & Bookkeeping Assistant (Part-Time) to support our finance team. This role involves assisting with daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth operation of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of accounting software and possess strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using Sage 200
- Manage accounts payable by processing invoices and ensuring timely payments
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate ledger entries
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare basic financial reports and summaries as required
- Organise and file financial documents systematically for easy retrieval
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Skills
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software
- Experience with accounts payable processes is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
The role is suitable for those with prior bookkeeping experience.
Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
