We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fish Cutter to join our busy fish and chip shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cutting fish to a high standard, ensuring consistent portion sizes, excellent product quality, and adherence to food hygiene and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, fillet, trim, and portion fish according to company specifications.
- Ensure all fish products meet quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistency in portion sizes whilst minimising waste.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP procedures.
- Keep workstations, equipment, and preparation areas clean and organised.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or quality concerns to management.
- Support other kitchen and preparation duties as needed.

- Previous fish preparation, fish cutting or butchery experience is preferred, but training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
- Good organisational skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Shifts
- 20-30 hours per week, depending on daily requirements; 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday)
- Shifts will start at around 6am and will be for 3-5 hours each day.
- Over time, if a candidate is seeking more hours, training as a Fryer can be offered.
