At AA Precision we are looking for a Dispatch Engineer to join our manufacturing team at our site in Barnstaple. We are a family run business that manufactures precision CNC machined components for a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, medical & more.
The successful applicant would work from our Goods in/out cell and be required to carry out a hybrid of computer based tasks and practical finishing tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Using the MRP system to generate dispatch documentation
- Carrying out a variety of finishing, hand-fitting & assembly operations
- Inspection of finished components/assemblies prior to shipping to customer
- Packaging and labelling of parts ready for courier collection
- General management of Goods in/out area and inventory of finishing tooling and packaging materials.
- Management of component inventory and stock room.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to multi-task and manage your own work-load efficiently
- Keen attention to detail and good at intricate hands-on jobs
- Computer literate and experience using Windows/Microsoft
- An existing understanding of engineering & machining principles
- Ability to adhere to quality procedures and experience using metrology equipment
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and adhere to safety procedures
- Capable of working as part of a manufacturing team with various skill levels
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience in a shop-floor engineering role.
