Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Housekeeper to help lead our housekeeping team at a busy hotel in Whitley Bay.

The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel while supporting the day-to-day organisation of the housekeeping department.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support the housekeeping team.
Allocate daily cleaning duties and monitor progress.
Clean and service guest bedrooms and public areas to a high standard.
Inspect completed rooms to ensure quality standards are met.
Train and support new housekeeping staff.
Monitor linen, toiletries and cleaning stock, reporting shortages when required.
Report maintenance issues promptly.
Ensure health & safety and cleaning procedures are followed at all times.
Assist with deep cleaning and departmental organisation.
Work closely with Reception and Management to ensure rooms are available for arriving guests.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience is essential.
Previous supervisory or senior housekeeping experience is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual and able to motivate a team.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
A positive attitude with a hands-on approach.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
