Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Locum Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality dental care and will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various dental conditions. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' oral health, including reviewing medical histories and performing clinical assessments.
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, and preventive care.
- Utilise medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care to promote long-term dental health.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operation of the practice.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry through continuous professional development.
Experience
- A GDC Number and NHS performer numberis required.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for newly qualified dentists.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is essential for effective diagnosis and treatment.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is necessary to perform procedures accurately.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
