Job Summary

This role involves working with various fabrication and welding processes, primarily focusing on sheet metal and mechanical assembly tasks. Duties
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on diverse metal components.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to fabricate and assemble parts.
- Work with sheet metal to create custom components according to technical specifications.
- Conduct welding inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist in the fabrication of structures and mechanical assemblies, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Use basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks during fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and troubleshooting during production.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding and general welding practices.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal work and mechanical assembly processes.
- Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times.
- Previous experience with fabrication or sheet metal work is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications or training in welding or fabrication would be advantageous. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical skills in a professional setting while contributing to high-quality manufacturing projects.
Monday - Thursday, 36 hours per week.
Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
