Help Us Grow One of the UK's Most Loved Printmaking Brands
Hello,
I'm Tim, founder of Pooki Presses.
We're a UK manufacturer of relief printing presses, drying racks and printmaking supplies used by hobbyists, artists, schools, universities and creative businesses across the UK and beyond.
Over the last five years we've helped thousands of artists spend less time hand burnishing and more time creating.
We've built a fantastic reputation, a loyal customer base and some brilliant products.
Now we're looking for somebody to help us grow the next stage of the business.
Somebody who understands marketing and revenue generation, loves content creation and wants the opportunity to have a genuine impact on a growing business.
You'll work directly alongside me helping turn ideas into campaigns, content into assets and opportunities into action.
This role is ideal for somebody who wants to become part of the foundation of a growing company and help build and shape the future of our marketing team from the ground up.
What You'll Be Doing
Turning Ideas Into Action
A big part of this role is helping bridge the gap between ideas and execution.
We'll regularly sit down together to brainstorm ideas for content, campaigns, products, partnerships, events and growth opportunities.
Your role will be helping turn those ideas into structured plans and then helping make them happen.
That may involve:
- Researching topics and opportunities
- Building campaign plans
- Creating content briefs
- Organising resources
- Coordinating projects
- Tracking progress
- Following up actions
We have no shortage of ideas.
We're looking for somebody who enjoys helping turn them into reality.
Content Creation & Brand Building
Content is one of the most important parts of this role.
We're looking for somebody who can help plan, film, edit and publish content that supports the growth of the business.
This may include:
- Social media content
- Product demonstrations
- Educational content
- Behind-the-scenes content
- Customer stories and testimonials
- Workshop and event content
- Marketing campaigns
You'll work closely with the founder to help tell the stories behind our business, products, customers and community.
Marketing & Growth
You'll help support the systems and campaigns that turn attention into customers.
This may include:
- Supporting email marketing campaigns
- Supporting paid advertising campaigns (Meta and other channels)
- Helping improve customer journeys and funnels
- Supporting product launches
- Tracking campaign performance
- Maintaining marketing assets and resources
- Supporting ambassador and partnership programmes
- Looking for opportunities to improve marketing performance
Ultimately, this role exists to help grow the business through consistent marketing execution and content creation.
Building The Marketing Operating System
We're not looking for somebody to simply fill a role.
We're looking for somebody to help us build the foundations of a scalable marketing function.
As the business grows, you'll help build, maintain and improve:
- Notion workspaces
- Marketing calendars
- KPI dashboards
- Google Sheets
- Campaign planning systems
- Project management systems
- Marketing processes and documentation
You'll also work alongside freelancers, creators and specialist partners to help coordinate projects and ensure things move forward.
For the right person, this role has the potential to grow into a future Team Leader, Marketing Manager or Head of Marketing position as the business and marketing function expand.
The ideal person will be:
- Creative
- Organised
- Curious
- Commercially minded
- Friendly
- Proactive
- Comfortable taking ownership
- Excited to learn and develop
Most importantly, you'll genuinely enjoy marketing, content creation and helping businesses grow.
A passion for marketing, brand building and the creative industries means far more to us than qualifications on paper.
Experience We'd Love To See
Experience in some of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Content creation
- Video editing
- Social media marketing
- Email marketing
- Shopify
- Klaviyo
- Campaign planning
- Meta Ads
- Customer journey marketing
- Photography
- Project management
Experience within a growing business, e-commerce business, creative brand or marketing role would be particularly valuable.
What Success Looks Like
Success will be measured through a structured 90-day onboarding plan, monthly reviews and clearly defined objectives focused on content creation, campaign execution, business growth and continuous improvement.
Career Development
We're looking for somebody who wants to grow with the business.
We actively invest in training, learning and development.
Aspiring future team leaders are encouraged to apply.
As the business grows, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility, lead projects and help shape the future direction of both the marketing team and the company.
Working Arrangements
Ideally we're looking for somebody available for:
- 37.5 hours per week
- In person at our Forest of Dean workshop
However, we're also open to discussing:
- Part-time, Freelance and Flexible Arrangements in Specialist Areas to support in our current efforts and potentially support the New Hire
Long term, we'd expect to build towards a hybrid working arrangement where appropriate.
Salary & Progression
Starting salary will depend on experience, skills and suitability for the role.
We believe good people should share in the success they help create.
Performance, contribution, development and progression will be reviewed regularly, with clear opportunities for growth as both the individual and business develop.
