Location: Thatcham, Berkshire, RG18

Event Date: Sunday 30 August 2026

Duration: 1–2 days (Preparation Day + Event Day)

Guests: Approximately 50

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Spanish to create an authentic restaurant-quality dining experience for a private family celebration held at a country home in Berkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef who enjoys showcasing authentic Spanish cuisine in an exclusive private setting.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

Designing and preparing an exceptional Spanish menu.
Creating a selection of authentic hot and cold tapas.
Preparing and cooking traditional Spanish paella (live cooking preferred).
Producing beautiful Spanish desserts.
Managing food preparation and presentation throughout the event.
Advising on ingredient purchasing and preparation.
Working alongside one kitchen assistant (or bringing your own trusted assistant if preferred).
A fully equipped family kitchen will be available for your use.

We Are Looking For

Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or Private Chef.
Strong knowledge of authentic Spanish cuisine.
Experience catering for private events or fine dining.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Friendly, professional and reliable.

Menu Style

The event will include:

Premium Spanish tapas
Seafood and traditional Chicken and Chorizo Paella
Vegetarian Paella
Authentic Spanish desserts
Beautiful presentation throughout

We welcome your own creative ideas and signature dishes.

We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in producing exceptional food and creating a memorable experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook authentic Spanish dishes tailored to the event’s menu, ensuring high-quality food production.
Manage all aspects of food preparation, from ingredient selection to plating and presentation.
Oversee kitchen operations during the event, maintaining food safety standards and hygiene protocols.
Supervise any assisting staff or team members involved in food service or setup.
To ensure timely delivery of dishes and smooth flow of service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout the event and clean up.

Experience

Proven culinary experience in Spanish cuisine, with a strong portfolio of successful private or restaurant-based roles.
Prior restaurant experience is highly desirable.

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
