We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Banqueting & Events Supervisor to join our wonderful F&B Team. This is a full-time, permanent position based on an average 40 hours a week. Availability to work mornings, evenings and weekends is essential.
We offer a competitive salary of £14.45 per hour plus gratuities* and excellent employee benefits.
*Gratuities (tips) are an additional charge added onto services and are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role. The amount is not guaranteed and is depended on service charge paid.
Banqueting & Events Supervisor is responsible for the ensuring the preparation, setup, execution, and breakdown of all events and conferences at the hotel are completed. This role combines physical event setup with supervisory responsibilities to ensure every event is executed to the highest 5-star standards. The Banqueting & Events Supervisor works closely with the Events Team, liaises with F&B; departments, and reports back to the F&B; Operations Manager for final approval and third-party vendor orders.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Event Preparation & Setup
- Oversee and ensure the standard of the setup of event and conference rooms.
- Review event function sheets with Events Team.
- Liaise with kitchen, bar, and report to F&B; Ops Manager for final approval and vendor orders.
- Request extra manpower when required.
- Ensure all setups meet 5-star standards.
Event Execution
- Act as operational point of contact together with Events Team.
- Supervise and support event staff.
- Monitor service flow, timing, and guest satisfaction.
- Resolve operational issues on the spot.
Staffing & Coordination
- Prepare and coordinate rosters with F&B; Ops Manager.
- Supervise agency staff.
- Coordinate with restaurant, bar, and kitchen teams.
Post-Event & Reporting
- Oversee and participate in event breakdown and reset.
- Provide post-event reports.
- Monitor and maintain event-related stock and supplies.

- In quieter times, support the wider F&B as and when necessary.
Your Knowledge & Capabilities:
- Strong hands-on ability for setups.
- Supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent coordination with Events Team and F&B.
- Attention to detail.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Calm under pressure.
Proven Experience/Qualifications:
- 2–3 years in events/banqueting or F&B; operations (4/5-star).
- Hands-on experience with setups.
- Knowledge of service standards, AV basics, hygiene, safety.
- Diploma/degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
- Fluent English (other languages an advantage).
