We are an established and growing manufacturer of high-quality modular swimming pools, spas and wellness products, supplying residential and commercial customers in the UK, Europe and USA. We are seeking an experiencedManaging Director to lead our business through its next phase of growth.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded, hands-on leader who enjoys working closely with people, improving operational performance, and delivering sustainable business growth. While experience within the swimming pool industry would be advantageous, we welcome applications from leaders with a strong background in manufacturing, engineering, construction products, or other related sectors.
The Role
Reporting to the owners/shareholders, you will have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the business. You will lead an experienced management team and oversee all aspects of the company's performance, including manufacturing, sales, finance, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clear strategic direction and leadership across the business.
- Driving profitable growth while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Leading and developing a high-performing management team and wider workforce.
- Improving operational efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.
- Identifying opportunities for business development, innovation, and market expansion.
- Managing financial performance, budgets, and profitability.
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Promoting a positive, accountable, and collaborative company culture.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
About You
We're looking for a proven business leader who combines commercial awareness with operational excellence.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Managing Director, Operations Director, or in a similar senior leadership role.
- A successful track record of leading a manufacturing or operational business.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with responsibility for profit and loss.
- Experience driving business growth and operational improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach.
Pay: £60,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
