Part-Time Payroll Manager

2-3 Days a week
Reigate, Surrey

£30,000 - £35,000 pro rata

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Manager reporting to the Head of People to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the company payroll, managing the processes, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong analytical skills and experience in payroll systems to contribute to our organisation’s efficiency and employee satisfaction. Proficiency in various payroll and is essential. You will be working closely with our Payroll Bureau who will support the running of the payroll. The ideal candidate will possess excellent data entry skills, have a background in running payrolls (around 300 employees plus), produce payroll reporting, managing company pensions and the associated compliance/paperwork.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end payroll processing using a hospitality payroll system.
Ensure accurate data entry of employee hours, checking hours on rotas, salaries, deductions, and benefits.
Maintain payroll records in compliance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with human resources to update employee information and manage changes in employment status.
Assist with audit preparations and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Provide support on payroll-related queries from employees or management.
Stay updated with current legislation affecting payroll processing and reporting.
Produce monthly payroll reports
Be responsible for managing the companies NEST Pension Scheme

Experience

Proven experience in payroll management or a similar role within a human resources or finance environment.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems
Demonstrable expertise in payroll analysis.
Previous involvement in human resources functions is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy across all payroll activities.
