Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hygienist to join our dental team on Mondays. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality oral hygiene care to patients, supporting overall dental health and wellbeing. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development within a supportive environment, utilising advanced dental technology and techniques. The Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough oral hygiene assessments and cleaning.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and personalised care routines.
Assist in the application of fluoride treatments and sealants as appropriate.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with practice protocols.
Support the use of medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalised treatment plans based on patient needs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a sterile environment at all times.

Requirements

recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist, registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
Experience or familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial structures.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and reassure patients effectively.
Organised, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
