Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction work. The successful candidate will gain exposure to different trades and develop essential skills in a supportive environment, working alongside experienced professionals. Duties
- Assisting with fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and components using hand tools and power tools
- Learning and performing joinery tasks, including cutting, fitting, and fixing timber elements
- Supporting the installation of roofing, flooring, and wall frameworks
- Assisting with construction painting, plastering, and basic masonry work as required
- Handling heavy lifting safely and effectively to move materials around site
- Supporting plumbing, electrical, or masonry trades as part of multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met
- Following health and safety procedures at all times during site operations
Experience
- No prior experience necessary; however, a keen interest in carpentry and construction is essential
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is advantageous but not required—training will be provided
- Familiarity with fabrication, assembly, or joinery techniques is beneficial
- Experience or interest in roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical work is considered a plus
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces is important
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training in various trades within the construction sector

Pay: £24,420.00-£40,294.08 per year
